“Trumpet & Horn Section Rules.”

I've decided to set a a bunch of rules for my section in band.

Trumpet & Horn Section Rules.

*Band leaders, Upper brass leader, Section leader and whoever is in-charge reserve the right to give punishment due to failure to comply(obey) the following rules.

1) Always be punctual. “Early is on time, On time is late”

2) Always listen to your leaders.

3) NEVER ever leave your instrument or instrument casing unattended at any time.

4) Treat your instrument with GREAT care.

5) Always bring back your instrument after practice. Even if there is daily practice.

6) Label your casing with your name.

7) Arrange your casing in an orderly way.

8) Always wear gloves when you play your instrument.

9) Always ‘flush’ your instrument after use.

10) Socks must be visible and above your ankle line.

11) You may bring slippers to practice but make sure you bring back the slippers after practice.

12) Shoes and socks are NOT to be left in the band room.

13) Shoelaces must be tied properly.

14) Band-shirt must be worn at every practice. If the shirt is in the wash, wear a white shirt if possible.

15) Always bring your band file.

16) Don’t leave loose scores lying around. Keep them in your file.

17) If you do not have a piece inform your leaders ASAP.

18) Try not to share stands during practice. Buy your own stand if possible.

19) Always COMPLETE the task given by your leaders.

20) Practise at least 5 TIMES a week. Band practice is NOT considered a practice.

21) Consumption(eating) of food and sweet drinks is strictly prohibited during music practice.

22) This document “Trumpet & Horn Section Rules.” must be kept in the band file and brought to band at all times.

*These rules are in-affect as of 18/2/09

*More rules may and will be added at a later date.

I think this is cool!! LOL
