Church Camp '09

Over the raya holidays, I went over to Damai Puri for a church camp. It was an eye opener. We had this speaker all the way from America. Mark Geppert. I think that's how you spell it

Anyway, I headed down after doing some raya visiting. Waited for a while for our room to be cleaned. And we actually were late. Luckily, we only had to wait for 20 minutes, or so. Some people actually waited for an hour plus!

The room.

Name tag, and booklet.

Our theme for this years camp was 'Rekindle the Fire'.

There was a lot of people.

I mean a lot.

Anyway, after a filling dinner I headed over to a hall, for some praise & worship.

And after that, was one of four talks by our speaker.

During the camp, I also helped out in the children's camp. I was mostly helping out with the notebook and projector.

Some of the other helpers.

Some smartass, use a glass instead of a cereal bowl.

The next day, we had two talks, and on the second one we had to pray for our church pastors.

So later in the afternoon, we nearly had the whole afternoon to ourselves, I went from the..

Beach, to the

pool, to the

beach again, and to the pool again.

Books!!

Where am I?

Hah! skipping talks

Got sign you still wanna stand there.

We had a fancy dress night on the last night.

Batik.....????

Last week my school Art Club, held an exhibition. You know the usual paintings and models and stuff.....blahblahblah

However, somebody in the club had a great idea to let the students, do theirs own batik painting. So you pay Rm3 for a small frame and RM10 for a larger one. They provide the cloth, the paint, and the wax. But the later finer processes of batik making is not done, since it take about 8 hours to do it.

This is them doing the frame. With the cloth.

This is the wax they use.

This is my name. Thanks to whoever did this.

This is what it looks like after paint has been added.

Nice no?? I did it........................ yeah right. Thanks to Melissa who helped me paint this and did a great job.

Question.
Is the pattern on the background:
A) A leaf
B) A feather

Cleaning.

I was cleaning my maternal grandparents house when I came across a few antiques.......sort off.

This is a thermometer now.

Believe it or not. This was a thermometer 40+ years ago. I have no idea how it functions.

Mind you, it was 32'c so it was blistering hot, and since it was an old house, it didn't have any ceiling fans in the house expect in the living room.

Before the world discovered that four legs is more stable than one. This is what we had.

3-legged table!!

On a completely unrelated note, I also had to destroy a wasp nest almost as big as my palm!

Egg and microwave

This is an egg.

I put it in a microwave to cook it cause it wasn't boiled properly. Big mistake!
While it was being 'cooked' I heard a very loud 'pop' sound. So I stopped the microwave to see what was going on.
Lo' and behold the whole egg had burst apart splattering the insides of the microwake with its contents.

This was what was left of it.

Lesson: Don't microwave your eggs.

The problem with this dog is, she doesn't bark. So we got another one.

Cute, no??

Meet Doggie. Don't worry we kept Dog. In fact they're good friends now.

Very good friends.

Kiss??

Now........what about my cat??

It's now 2 vs 1.
